The Chesed Rescue Kobi Center is designed to address the persistent problems faced by pet owners living in poverty by providing pet food, pet supplies and access to veterinarian care. We accept self referrals as well as referrals from veterinarians and social service organizations.
The name Kobi is that of one special needs puppy who was about to be euthanized due to his owner’s inability to care for him and to pay for expensive surgery that would be required to save his life. Chesed was able to rescue Kobi from his imminent euthanasia and generate close to ten thousand dollars for the surgery he required. Kobi is now fully recovered and living an active life with his loving family.
We can provide pet supplies to needy owners including, but not limited to, food (including specialty foods), crates, basic medical supplies, beds, toys, ramps, and other items that will allow a pet to stay and be comfortable in its home.
The Kobi Center is open by appointment at:
Mission Bay Self Storage
20273 State Road 7
Boca Raton, FL 33498
Chesed Rescue, through the Kobi Center, has a very limited amount of funds available for the medical needs of pets in the community. We can help indigent owners in need with annual shots, spays and neuters and with emergencies that arise. Applicants will need to fill out financial aid forms
If your pet needs a ride to the vet, or other non-medical needs, please let us know and we will see how we can help.
